“Why wait to make a legacy gift when I am 100% sure of the impact?”

Considering how he would like to change the world, Vincent Lapras MBA’96J took inspiration from his family — his mother and grandfather were both teachers — and from the words of INSEAD founder General George Doriot: “Without action, the world would still be an idea.” In the 25 years since earning his MBA, Lapras has taken action by becoming a volunteer leader for the INSEAD Alumni Fund in France. In 2017/2018, he helped establish the French Alumni Scholarship. And in 2019, he made a legacy commitment to INSEAD.

“I believe education can address the world’s great challenges, from inequalities and the environment to threats on democracy,” he says. “So why wait to make a legacy gift when I am 100% sure of the impact?” Lapras encourages others to consider changing the world beyond their lifetimes by making a planned gift today. “A legacy is your message to the future,” he says. “It incapsulates what is meaningful to you, and to tomorrow’s generations.”
