“The important work we are doing together, made possible by your generosity, is not finished. In fact, with so many challenges to address in our complex world, it is just beginning.”

This year, 2023, is the last year of Ilian Mihov's deanship at INSEAD. “Looking at INSEAD today, I see a community united for excellence, for change and for each other, something I am very proud of,” says Ilian.

“I am grateful for the increase in giving towards scholarships, a vital source of funding for INSEAD students that more than tripled during the campaign. Each campaign gift has a distinct ripple effect, stirring change within INSEAD, whose impact reverberates out into the world.”

The Force for Good campaign results reflect the deep solidarity alumni feel with INSEAD’s mission. A campaign milestone of which Ilian is particularly proud is the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society, launched in 2018, which has already influenced perspectives and practices related to sustainability, and will continue to make a difference long into the future.

As we emerge from the shadow of a global pandemic, we witnessed the resilience of the INSEAD community with alumni reuniting, campuses returning to normal and buzzing with participants in our degree and executive programmes, and the dynamic presence of students and faculty creating a vibrant intellectual environment that nurtures and provokes innovative thinking.

This unique learning environment is integral to our mission as The Business School for the World, which is why renovating and reimagining the Europe Campus where INSEAD started has become even more vital. The project is a large-scale and ambitious one that aims to bring the Fontainebleau campus into line with sustainability standards while maintaining a unique atmosphere and an ambience that fosters lifetime connections.

“As I look toward the final months of my tenure as dean, I feel moved by the privilege of working with our many volunteers around the world and I am also very grateful for the generosity of our donors, whom I thank immensely.”

“The important work we are doing together, made possible by your generosity, is not finished. In fact, with so many challenges to address in our complex world, it is just beginning,” he concludes.
