Dear Donors,

As we celebrate our 60th anniversary this year, I am reminded of what INSEAD’s Founder Georges Doriot once said: “Anniversaries should not merely be times for reminiscence and self-satisfaction, but opportunities to think about the future.”

This anniversary has certainly inspired us to think deeply about the future of INSEAD and the future of business and society. But that does not mean we have lost sight of our past. INSEAD’s plans and projections are innately tied to our school’s founding purpose and principles. We believe, as our founders did, that business can and must serve as a force for good.

As we prepare for the next 60 years, I want to thank you for your generous support of INSEAD this year.

Philanthropy is critical to our future, and your engagement in the school has undoubtedly inspired many others to give, built enthusiasm for our strategic priorities and nurtured a culture of giving. Thanks to you, the Campaign for INSEAD: A Force for Good is off to a strong start.

Through the Campaign, INSEAD aspires to reach the next level of impact. Our three Campaign themes — Values, Vision and Ventures — capture this ambition best. Our goal is to equip leaders to tackle world-scale challenges; to foster diversity, inclusion and an open mindset; to reimagine leadership and management practices for the next generation; to embrace creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship; and to transform business and society for the better. Above all, we aspire to champion business as a force for good.

One of our newest priorities is the Europe Campus Renewal Project, which will reduce INSEAD’s energy consumption and transform our classrooms to meet 21st century demands for research, teaching and learning. Central to the INSEAD brand, this renewal reflects our commitment to business leadership development and responsibility towards society and the environment. I hope you will consider supporting this important initiative.

Meanwhile, we continue to make progress on other key initiatives. Among these, the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society is helping INSEAD align its approach to business education with the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals. In North America, the San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation is convening leaders at the forefront of technology to solve critical problems in business and society. Greater investments in scholarships are attracting top students from around the world, while investments in teaching and research are encouraging new pedagogy and thought leadership.

Thank you for making this success possible. With every gift, you are sustaining our mission and bringing our vision to life. Always together, let’s transform the world.
