Christopher Harborne MBA’88J makes founding gift for INSEAD San Francisco and supports blockchain research

What appeals to Christopher Harborne MBA’88J about blockchains is that they are open, ‘permissionless’ and public. For Harborne, the technology that allows billions of people on this planet to engage with each other and trustfully build economic success is “a force for good”. So, supporting INSEAD’s knowledge creation in blockchains was a natural choice.  

Harborne’s leadership gift has created a Blockchain Research Fund that is already fuelling new research on the diverse aspects of blockchain technology. 

Technological innovations and entrepreneurial ventures are synonymous with the city of San Francisco where INSEAD is establishing its San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation. Harborne made a major gift to this landmark development that from 2020 will open a world of opportunities for INSEAD to engage with a dynamic ecosystem of innovators and explore global issues such as tech for good.
