A time to renew friendships
The tradition includes breaking records and outdoing other classes in participation and amount. Here are some highlights from 2017/2018.
The class of MBA’68, the first to have female students, raised €289,250 in support of scholarships for women from emerging countries and achieved 30% participation. Not only did they break their own records for amount and participation but also the records for a 50th reunion. Thank you to Fund Chairs Angelo Abdela and François Vachey.
The classes of MBA’72 and MBA’77 have been exemplary for individual giving and loyalty, with a large number of Gold, Platinum and Diamond Salamander holders.
The MBA’93Ds made a significant contribution of more than €150,000 to the INSEAD Women Scholarship in honour of iW50. Special thanks to Natalie Man Se Chan for her very generous gift. The class achieved a high participation rate of 31%, thanks to the enthusiasm and leadership of Fund Chair Jocelyn Phelps.
The class of MBA’98D, led by Fund Chair Nancy Jain, broke several records. They endowed a scholarship in the shortest time ever and had a 43% participation rate, both of which are records for a 20th reunion. In addition, the school was pleased to recognise 17 new Salamander holders in the class – another record.
The classes of MBA’02J&D were the first to celebrate their 15 year reunion on the Asia Campus. Collectively they raised close to €100,000 in support of the Dean’s Innovation Fund and scholarships.
The class of MBA’08D celebrated their reunion by naming two bricks on the Singapore Campus and two seats in Amphi A in memory of classmates Michiel Lowenberg and Hervé Kengfack Lekemo. They also supported the INSEAD Women Scholarship. Fundraising efforts were led by Jo Bertram.
Thanks to the leadership of Emma and Frederick Goltz, the class of MBA’98J celebrated their 20th reunion by raising more than €1million in support of the school, including an endowed scholarship in memory of late classmates.
MBA’13J, led by Fund Chairs Adriaan Bloys van Treslong and Alexandre Paternotte de La Vaillée, achieved fantastic results: €135,556 raised – almost double the record for a 5 year reunion, and a very high participation rate of 44%.
