Back Bianca and James Pitt MBA’94D establish Chair in Environmental Sustainability Atalay Atasu, INSEAD Visiting Professor of Technology and Operations Management, The Bianca and James Pitt Chair in Environmental Sustainability Share Anchoring Work on Sustainability Bianca and James Pitt MBA’94D are more than deeply interested in sustainability: they actively advocate and support environmental causes. Their recent leadership gift enabled the school to establish a Chair in Environmental Sustainability that will be a permanent source of raising awareness and generating knowledge on environmental issues. INSEAD’s faculty have led pioneering research in sustainability. However, the scale and urgency of the context today requires us to accelerate and expand our research and teaching. The Chair from Bianca and James is a significant boost in achieving this goal, as it will draw and honour outstanding scholars to work on key sustainability issues. Newly recruited to the school, Professor Atalay Atasu (https://www.insead.edu/faculty-research/faculty/atalay-atasu) who has been recently elected to the prestigious position of President of Manufacturing and Service Operations Management Society, is the first to hold the Bianca and James Pitt Chair in Environmental Sustainability. Bianca and James Pitt’s commitment and generosity is being matched by Rosalie and André Hoffmann MBA’90D, founders of the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society at INSEAD and long-time patrons of sustainability.
